Tracking SMS shortcodes:

When you are using SMS for promotions and want to track the leads from the same. You need to set up keyword and shortcode, which you will be promoting. 

Note:To get those short-codes you need to contact to Sell.Do support team.Once your keyword-shortcodes have been confirmed and added inSell.Do, you will get intimation from support team. Oncekeyword-shortcode pair is added to your account, you can configurethem for the tracking.

Whencustomer sends SMS of a pre-configured keyword to the respectivepre-configured shortcode number (which he has received in promotionalSMS by company), his enquiry will be tracked and lead will begenerated/ updated.

Forex. If a person receives an SMS promoting a project from Amurabuilders which is Amura Towers, he can reply with a SMS of AMURA(keyword) to 58888 (SMS shortcode). Once he does this, his lead willbe automatically created in the database and will be contacted by theconcerned sales person. This tracking will help in calculating theROI of campaign.

To configure Tracking SMS:

  • Click Add option,which will list keyword-short-code pair added to Sell.Do as shown inabove figure.

  • Selectthe keyword-short-code pair which you want to use.

  • Enter following details.

    • Project– If the campaign is project specific, then you can select project from the list of existing projects.

    • Publisher– Source to which this shortcode is assigned for tracking

    • Sub-campaignname - You can give a sub-campaign name to each configuration sothat you can directly track the lead reports sub-campaign wise.

Note: You should give the sub-campaign name which will indicate the important information like source+Date etc. For example: TOI online-June. With this informative name, you will be able to track the leads for the sub-campaign with the correct info of the sub-campaign details.

  • Team– To which the generated leads from this configuration should beauto-assigned.

  • Sales  – Sales representatives to which generated leads should be routed.Once you select a team, users in that team will be auto-selected in this field. You can always change user-selection.

  • Associated Virtual Number – If user navigates to website from the promotional SMS, he will be able to view this associated virtual number on your website instead of default virtual number which will generate organic leads. As this associated virtual number is configured for tracking, the leads generated from this will be precisely tracked.

Note: To associate virtual number, you need to configure them individually, then only they will be listed in respective list of associated field. 

  • To remove any configured email, click Close option of the respective form.

  • Clickon Next toproceed to next step.
